Loran Takes Back 160m?

Breaking news on Loran, which hams used to share the 160 Meter band. This could also impact the new VLF bands recently assigned to ham use. These are the links. I have no further information or comment, but you should check this out if you enjoy 160 Meters. There certainly seems to be a need for a backup for GPS and high tech nav systems. National security and maritime life/safety are powerful issues. No word yet from ARRL on this. At present, the focus seems to be on VLF spectrum for E-Loran. The obsolete Loran-C occupied the spectrum near 160 meters, but there are moves to halt the decommissioning of the old Loran-C sites. For more, check out: 73, Janis AB2RA
